Ganer Newman, Interpretation

Ganer Newman was the National Champion in Poetry Interpretation and Communication Analysis at the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament in 2010.  As a competitor for Western Kentucky University, Ganer competed in several late out rounds and final rounds in public address and interpretation which helped the team sweep five national championships.  Currently a graduate assistant for the WKU Forensics, Ganer’s accomplishments as an educator are vast.  Working as a travelling coach at Leland High School, Teurlings Catholic, and Nova High School, Ganer has assisted in coaching students to final rounds in every interpretation event at every major national invitational in the country including Yale, Blue Key, Villiger, Glenbrooks, Emory, Berkeley, Harvard, CFL Nationals and NFL Nationals.  He is happy to return to FFI as Director of Interpretation for the second consecutive year

Safety is Key

At the Florida Forensic Institute, the safety and well-being of our participants is a top priority. Therefore, we have taken a different approach to security than most summer programs. Our campus is staffed with security personnel, and the residential facility has security staff 24 hours-a-day. Outside of class, students are supervised by degree-holding senior staff, rather than college-age junior staff. An integral part of our security and safety initiative is our Dorm Mom, Kristie Taylor and Dorm Dad, Willie Warren.  Read more about their credentials on the staff page.
