Jeff Hannan, Congress

Jeff Hannan, the 2000 NFL National Student Congress Champion, graduated from the University of Florida with bachelor degrees in English and religion and a Master's degree in political communication. In addition to his national championship in Student Congress, Jeff had a successful career in Lincoln Douglas Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking, with championships at many national level tournaments. As a collegiate competitor in speech and debate, he and his partner won several debate titles, and Jeff was a National Individual Events Tournament finalist in Extemporaneous Speaking. Jeff is currently the Director of Debate at Evanston Township High School and the Director of Forensics at the Loyola Academy, both in the suburbs of Chicago. Jeff is returning for his twelfth summer at the FFI.

Safety is Key

At the Florida Forensic Institute, the safety and well-being of our participants is a top priority. Therefore, we have taken a different approach to security than most summer programs. Our campus is staffed with security personnel, and the residential facility has security staff 24 hours-a-day. Outside of class, students are supervised by degree-holding senior staff, rather than college-age junior staff.
