Although the temperature was freezing, the sun shoned brightly on Florida Forensic Institute students at the 37th Harvard National Forensic Tournament. With over 75 break-rounds 18 finalists and 2 tournament champions, our students certainly left their mark in Original Oratory, Extemp, Interp, Congressional Debate and Public Forum. A special congratulations to FFI’s Congressional debaters, who have dominated the season with over half the breaks to semis and finals and champions at every major tournament. Their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes at Harvard continues the Florida Forensic Institute’s tradition of and reputation for excellence.
Congratulations to Florida Forensic students for their incredible performance at Emory University’s prestigious Barkley Forum Tournament. With more than 70% of the Final Round, five of the top 6, including the top three and the Champion, FFI Congressional Debaters once again ruled. PF continues the road to the 2011 TOC as multiple teams advanced to elimination rounds and another team solidified their second bid. Twenty-three FFI finalists and 2 tournament champions prove that the Florida Forensic Institute is America’s preeminent summer forensic program.
Florida Forensic Institute students prevailed at the Crestian Tournament with 83 breaks, 39 advancing to finals and 7 tournament champions.. FFI Orators took the six top places, including the championship. Both International and United States Extemp were won by FFI alums. Seventeen FFI students advanced to finals, winning 3 Interp events. FFI PFers continued their march to the TOC as multiple teams advanced. FFI Congressional Debaters continued their dominance with over 50 percent of the breaks and 5 of the top 6 finalists, including the tournament champion.
With 59 breaks, 34 finalists and 7 champions, Florida Forensic Institute students reigned at the Sunvitational Tournament. Once again FFI Congressional Debaters dominated with more than half the semi-finalists, 12 of the 18 finalists and the top 4 finishers. FFI Extempers place 5 in final, including the champion. FFI Interpers advanced 21, finaled 11 and won 3 championships. FFI Orators won the day with 6 finalists, including the winner.

The Glenbrooks solidifies FFI's lead as the number one camp for results. More FFI students reached elimination rounds and finals than any other camp. FFI alums had two of the six spots in Original Oratory and Prose/Poetry finals and four of the six places in Dramatic Interp. And the FFI Congressional Debate program produced fourteen of the twenty in finals, as well as eight out of the top ten, including, one, two, three and four.
A Winning Season Continues for FFI Students at Blue Key Tournament!
FFI alums accumulated 88 breaks, with 31 advancing to finals and 4 tournament champions!
Once again, more than half of those breaking in Congressional Debate were FFI alums. Of the 18 in finals, 15 were FFI alums, including the top 6 finishers!
